We are embarking on our forty-seventh academic year as a department, and are looking forward to visiting lecturers, the annual international grad student conference, departmental colloquia, Religion Club events, and various other occasional academic activities and social gatherings.

The study of religion at Florida State University is located squarely in the tradition of humanities scholarship. Our faculty represent a wide range of research orientations and our programs operate in close collaboration with several other departments and programs at the University. Prof. John Corrigan receives award of the Fulbright Distinguished Research Chair
the most prestigious appointment in the Fulbright Scholar Program.
Corrigan, the Lucius Moody Bristol Distinguished Professor of Religion, was one of about 40 people in the United States to receive a Fulbright.
