The Religion Department congratulates Carson Bay and David Skelton, two Ph.D candidates, for receiving the Fulbright Fellowship to Germany and Rebecca Peters and Ian Reed for the AIIS fellowships to study in India next academic year. The Department of Religion is hosting the 2020-21 Southeastern Regional SBL/AAR conference (SECSOR).  It will be held virtually on March 12-14 and can be accessed here.

Dr. Robert Campany, Professor of Asian Studies and Religious Studies at Vanderbilt University, will deliver the Seventh Annual Sheng Yen Lecture on January 24, 2020, at 4:30 PM in Dodd Hall Auditorium. His lecture is entitled “The Dreams of Self Cultivators: Comparing a Daoist and a Buddhist Text for Practitioners." Further information is available here
