American Religious History doctoral candidate Daniel Roeber is a Three-Minute Thesis Doctoral Competition finalist. The annual event challenges graduate students to describe their research projects in just 3 minutes. 

The Three-Minute Thesis Doctoral Competition Finals will be held on Wednesday, November 29, at 6:00 PM in the Durell Peaden Auditorium, College of Medicine. The audience will be able to vote for the People’s Choice Award at the close of the finalists’ presentations

Graduate Student News

The fellowship supports scholars in the humanities and related social sciences who are pursuing research on religion in an international context and desire to connect their projects with journalists and media specialists. Corrigan’s project is entitled, “Religious Violence and American Foreign Policy”.

The Religion Department congratulates Jimmy Yu, Associate Professor in Chinese Buddhism, for receiving the Center for Chinese Studies Grant from the National Central Library of Taiwan for the summer of 2016. The Department also congratulates Michael McVicar, Assistant Professor of American Religious History, for receiving the 2016 Risley Family Fellowship by the College of Arts and Sciences at FSU.

The Religion Department congratulates Carson Bay and David Skelton, two Ph.D candidates, for receiving the Fulbright Fellowship to Germany and Rebecca Peters and Ian Reed for the AIIS fellowships to study in India next academic year.
