The Florida State University Department of Religion is pleased to announce its 20th Annual Graduate Student Symposium to be held February 17–18,  2023, in Tallahassee, Florida.

This year’s symposium will center on the theme “Sensational Religion.”

Keynote

Prof. Joseph Richard Winters II, Duke University, will deliver this year’s keynote address, “Beside Hope: Blackness, Indeterminacy, and Literary De-formation.”

Roundtable

Profs. Kristin Dowell (FSU), Rachel Gordan (UF), and Dianne M. Stewart (Emory University) will discuss the topic “Sensational Teaching.”
